Thanksgiving at the Lake House

We had an amazing first Thanksgiving at the Lake House.... thanks to all of our family and friends who made it a perfect day!

Here is the dining room and living room with some fresh paint and three tables set for dinner. Thank goodness we don't have any living room furniture yet!

The basement was a big project but well worth it. We enjoy this space everyday!

Update- Covered deck

Ok, so it is December and it has been months since my last post. A lot of work has been done and it is time to share. Thanks to my coworker who yelled at me for getting so behind and got me motivated! I only have access to a handful of photos at this moment but I will post more later. (promise!)

These photos of the covered porch are a bit dark but I think you can see how bad it looked.

Here it is now that it is fixed. Again, the photo is a bit dark. I will try to find a better one later.

Moving...

Hey we are moving! It was a long night last night moving the rest of our furniture. We are trying to get settled quickly since the boys start school Monday. It has been a long time since my last post and we have accomplished a lot however we will be living in a construction zone for quite a while! I will post pictures later.....

And down came the wall....

All of the rain and humidity have made it hard to paint or stain so it was time to take the wall down! I must say though, it did provide hours of entertainment for the boys and their friends (and yes, the adults too!)

Update on the machete contest: Well, it never happened. It was decided that it would be easier to simply pull the weeds by the roots and that no machete was necessary. Guess the skill needed for wielding a machete will have to be determined at some other time.
